Following a successful career as a salesperson for a local contract furniture dealership, Gerri Speer founded her own business, Corporate Interior Concepts in 1998, initially operating out of her home in Dublin, Ohio. With help from family members who answered the phone and operated the fax machine, Gerri was able to build a successful Teknion dealership and established relationships with a number of large corporate clients in Columbus. With the help of staff members, some of whom are still with CIC today, the company has been built around providing the best products and services in the market. Although the company has grown substantially since its humble beginnings, the idea of personal service and attention to detail has endured. Gerri never aspired to be the largest dealership in Columbus, just the best one in the eyes of her customers. CIC was also one of the first women owned Teknion dealerships and the company has been a WBENC certified Women’s Business Enterprise since early in its history.

Today, CIC occupies a showroom in Grandview Heights, very close to the downtown business district. The staff has grown to include sales, administrative, design and installation personnel that support the sale of furniture from start to finish. Occupying a recently refurbished, branded Teknion showroom, CIC proudly displays the tag line “no detail is small” sending the message to our customers that we aspire to deliver both great products and equally great service. We don’t have a “second string” that deals with customers after we get an order. We know them all and they know us. That’s the way we like it and it seems that our customers think so, too.

We support our clients wherever they choose and have managed business for our corporate customers across the country, delivering the same quality service that we provide in Central Ohio.
